On December 26, Ms. Wang Aixiang, Chairwoman of the Group, led a delegation of relevant senior executives from the Information Center, Operations Center, and Human Resources and Administration Center to Ocean University of China for a symposium and exchange. University representatives, including Sun Na, Director of the Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance and Service Center; Dai Shuni, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages; Gao Jinwu, Professor at the School of Economics; and Wang Gaige, Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science and Technology, jointly hosted the delegation and participated in the exchange. Both sides engaged in discussions on topics such as joint talent cultivation, deep integration of industry and education, collaboration on research projects, and the Group’s international development.
During the exchange, Director Sun Na noted that Ocean University of China is inextricably linked to Qingdao and has contributed to the city’s success; it is hailed as the “university calling card” that best embodies the spirit of this “famous maritime city.” The university is not only the birthplace of major national strategies such as the “Blue Seed Industry” and the “Blue Medicine Repository,” but has also become a hub for science, education, and talent—supporting Qingdao’s development as a global maritime center—through initiatives such as incubating high-tech enterprises and jointly building R&D platforms. She emphasized that the university consistently focuses on societal and market needs, continuously optimizes its disciplinary system, and is willing to collaborate with enterprises to promote diversified, high-quality employment opportunities for students.
Group leaders in attendance outlined their needs in areas such as talent development, digital transformation, and international expansion. Ms. Wang Aixiang, Chairwoman of the Group, stated that the Group is currently at a critical stage of rapid development and industrial upgrading. It has a particularly urgent need for multidisciplinary talent who possess both specialized knowledge and a deep understanding of international supply chain operations, as well as top-tier experts in fields such as logistics, trade, less commonly taught languages, and artificial intelligence. She noted that high-level talent is the core driving force behind the Group’s future development; the company will continue to strengthen the development of talent pipelines and provide competitive career platforms to demonstrate the Group’s firm commitment to the leading role of talent.
This exchange marks a substantial step forward in the university-enterprise cooperation between the Group and Ocean University of China. Taking this symposium as a starting point, both parties will continue to deepen collaboration in areas such as talent development, scientific research and innovation, and international business expansion, in line with the national marine economic strategy and regional development needs, to jointly build a new framework of university-enterprise collaboration characterized by mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
